Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place during our vacation to Pensacola Beach this past week, and oh wow, are we glad that we did!! He's a huge huge fan of Mexican food and not a fan of seafood. Which, as can be expected, was basically all that was around us. This food was just perfect for his Tex-Mex lovin' heart. And mine too because yum! We ate here several times during our trip, always choosing something different. I think my favorite thing was the Tacos de Carnitas, and his was probably the Acapulco's Nachos. Huge, tasty portions, great prices, and excellent service. You really cannot ask for more! If we are ever in the area again, we will absolutely be returning!

Food was pretty typical Tex Mex. Not the best I've ever had, but the prices for lunch were reasonable and the service was really good. It was about 10 minutes from Pensacola Beach and is located in a non-descript strip center. If you have a hankering for Mexican food, this place is worth a look.

No shrimp dishes. My husband got a chimichanga to go. It was 1/3 the size of most chimis & no extras (sour cream or guacamole). We may never go back.

On Thursday May 21, our group of six tired-and-hungry Texans stopped in for a late lunch... and we were very happy with the menu, service, and food. Great value, great flavor, friendly service. The salsa was "WOW" yummy to my taste buds. Next time we are in Pensacola, we will be sure to enjoy another meal at Mariachi's!

Great salsa and fresh chips. Everyone was very nice. We got our food quickly. :) I really loved their rice. Cheese sauce was very tasty. Really enjoyed this place.

This has got to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. I moved here from Albany, NY and to be honest was a bit disappointed in my search down here for great Mexican food. The same restaurant in Albany, called El Mariachi's, is amazing and I would have to give that place 5 stars. For this restaurant I would have to say I loved everything here, but I was very disappointed by the cheese they use. It tasted like American cheese. They would have gotten 5 stars from me if it weren't for the lack of Mexican cheese or at least cheddar. I hope someone there sees this and maybe could include options of cheese type on their menu. I would go more often if they used Mexican cheese, please?

Cheap food is always a positive In terms of pricing. Calling oneself authenitc, and utilizing Tex Mex principles is a sure way to lose credibility. This is what you are left with, cheap Tex Mex, with a cheap taste.

Nice and quant, great salsa and chips! The whole family loved it. Steak salad served in a crisp tortilla bowl. Will be back soon.

Always good, always fast, and inexpensive. Mariachis is our go to place and we usually end up going two or three times per week. It never gets old, best chips and salsa and steak fajitas! Yummy!

I've always had good service here and that is good, however we went there on Saturday and it smelled like old greasy unwashed kitchen rags and butane. Even the menus smelled gross! By the time we got home 30 minutes later my husband and I were stuck in our bathrooms for the rest of the night. My stomach hurt so bad for 2 days! I've always liked the food, but I don't think we'll go back again, sorry to report bad news!

Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area! Awesome specials and reliably great food.

This is quickly becoming my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area - even though it's a half hour from my home. They serve fresh guacamole and I love that they offer a lot of dishes loaded with grilled meat and veggies. I like the Camarones Al Diablo - grilled shrimp smothered in spicy red sauce with a side of salad to ease the burn.

Excellent place to kick back and enjoy good mexican food. The prices for the amount of food are amazing; with 2 kids in tow our bill can often creep up there. We've had nothing but great service, quick orders and left feeling great.
(5)Renee C.
Service was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious and plentiful. The decor was a bit worn and didn't look clean. Felt like I was in Tijuana! The food was really good and I would go back. They should take some decorating ideas from La Hacienda's on Davis Hwy.

One of the Best Tex-Mex cafes in the area. Prices are low and food basic but good. Small compared to most and that is a good thing.

there was definitely a live cockroach in our tortilla chips -gulf breeze, FL. negative stars.

Good Mexican, generous with the portions and put a lot of meat in the enchilada. Much better than Vallarta's
(3)Shane F.
This is a great Mexican dinner or lunch place the lunch menu is very cheap. The service is fast and the Margaritas are off the chain good!!!!
(5)Kyle M.
Good mexican food. Nothing fancy here, just your regular standards for a mexican food place. Prices are fair and service is usually fairly quick. If you're up for Mexican in the Gulf Breeze area this is probably the place to go.
(4)John R.
Great place to grab some Mexican chow. Decent prices and pretty decent service.
(4)Rebecca M.
not too shabby. Prices are fair, quantity is good. Authentic? Nah, not so much. This little place wouldn't survive in TX or CALI where Mexican is more authentic, but so far this place is our favorite in Gulf Breeze. My daughter loved the queso, I wanted to like the Chile Reno... thankfully they don't try to stuff it with ground beef but... what was that inside??? white American cheese? C'mon Mexican restaurants: go bold or go home! Use real Mexican ingredients, I promise... we'll be willing to pay more.
